Question Humidity in South Florida & Tubs

Hi there, I live in South Florida (Broward County to be more specific) and after switching to tubs from a glass tank, now I have a problem with too much humidity inside the tubs.

The 28qt Sterilite tubs are sitting on top of 4" flexwatt, just for your info. The probe under the warm side hide it reads 91-93, Cool side is running 78-82 depending on A/C.

Now here comes the problem, I burned 24 holes on each tub, each about same distance from each other, except where the "handles" are, there are no holes there. Humidity in my room is about 60% average. When I close the tubs, humidity starts climing to Up to 80%. Now that was using 6" water bowls. Last nite I grabed 2 of those asian looking 4" ceramic bowls and switched out the 6"s. Humidity started going up but no where near as fast as the 6"s. 30 minutes after I went to bed. I woke up this morning and Humidity was back at 80%. Now I know the 50-60% humidity is just a standart, but 80% seems like a bit much for me and the snakes to be confortable with

Now Im guessing I need more holes? Any other Ideas would be appreciated

IF I need more holes, where should I burn them without affecting too much the Temperatures and how many??

    Thanx!

I think you need more ventilation I've always had my tubs in the house at those temp ranges and have never had that problem. The only time my humidity is to high is when they tip a bowl.

Ventilation as in more holes or A/C air flow? How many holes do you have in your tubs? I see you are in Miami and thanx

The Ac actually puts a lot of humidity in the air because of the water it uses..so your going to need more holes in the tub and to stop using your ac so much. I understand florida can be hot, But your going to have to deal lol.

Ya I'll try to convice my family the snakes need less a/c, thats gonna go well lmao! No offence, I know you meant well.

The a/c doesnt run that cold anyways, 78 at the lowest. Where my family is from, is much more hotter than Florida so we are used to hot temps.

I'll try some more holes first and see how that goes
