Re: Line on belly?
If it goes up and down, it could be the start of scale rot?

Re: Line on belly?
Thats the snake's version of a belly button Nothing to worry about they all have it and its especially noticeable when they are young.
Edit: Does it look like this?

Oh wow- never saw that before. I have one that has such a line and hers is a healed scar from scale rot for sure (We treated her for it).

Re: Line on belly?
If it's just a tiny darkish fine line just up from the vent a little ways, it's just the healed umbilicus that once attached your baby snake to it's nutrition source inside it's egg. Eventually it pretty much disappears but it's very commonly seen in young bp's.

okay that sounds good. should i take him to the vet in a few weeks to get a check up to make sure he is healthy? and how much do you think it would cost?

If he's eating, defecating and shedding, a vet visit probably isn't necessary. You can bag up a poop (put in fridge) to drop off at the vets to do a fecal float just to make sure he doesn't have any internal parasites. That's about $20 for the test, and the snake doesn't have to come in. If it tests positive, medication is about $10 for 2 doses.
