pinstripe x butter??????
I am thinking about getting me a pinstripe and I'm trying to see what the possibilities that I can get with my collection. Well I know that...(see below)
pinstripe x spider= 25% Spinner, 25% Spider, 25% Pinstripe, 25% Normal
pinstripe x pastel=25% Lemon Blast, 25% Pinstripe, 25% Pastel, 25% Normal
pinstripe x normal=50% Pinstripe, 50% Normal
But what do you get if you pair a pinstripe x butter.
1.2 normal 0.1 pinstripe
1.1 spider 1.0 butter
2.0 pastel
0.1 mojave

Re: pinstripe x butter??????
You would get with caramel being recessive and pinstripe being dominant, maybe some sort of pin het for caramel or some normal hets but I have really no idea I don't know how to figure out those confusing morphs! But I think you would get a Butter Blast(made up name), which maybe a butter mixed with a pinstripe, there has been a butter to a spinner named butter whip that was just made this year though, possibilites are endless with ball pythons!

Re: pinstripe x butter??????
Caramel and butter are not the same thing -- caramel is a totally different, simple recessive mutation, while butter is a co-dominant/incomplete dominant mutation. So you wouldn't get any caramel in there unless your butter or your pinstripe happened to be het caramel ...
I believe a "butter pinstripe" would be called a "kingpin," same as a "lesser pinstripe" ... A very awesome looking snake!

Butters and Lessers are the same thing right? But they are just called two different things?

Different morph, but they are on the same locus genetically, thus why the super form is a BEL from both or even if you were to mix them. But the coloration and the pattern are definitely different between the two.

Some people say they are, some people say they are different. I personally think they are the same, just like a Graziani pastel and a blond pastel. In a few generations I don't think you will be able to tell most of them apart, if you can even tell them apart now.
