Another weight ?
I've had my BP since May 30 and didn't get a scale until the second week in june. My bp is supposed to have been born sometime in 08, I have no idea when. S/he is currently around 2 foot or just over and weighing in around the 165-170 range. My question is,how much weight on average should a healthy bp in this age/size range be gaining every month? When I first got the scale S/he weighed around 150 and I've been feeding every 6 days an appropriate size mouse usuing the 10-15% rule. So far my bp has eaten 4 times and has taken the mouse readily everytime I've offered. So how much weight gain should I expect? Any help is much appreciated

Re: Another weight ?
All I can offer is my own experience. I got my BP around April, and he was a mid/late 08 born. When I got him he was around 230g, and now he's weighing in at 499g (as of 2 days ago post deficating). I might say he/she is a bit small, but if they are eating consistently I would say you should be fine, all depends on the animal. If they are eating consistently and the appropriate size animal I'd say they are probably okay.

Re: Another weight ?
Yeh,I kinda thought that was towards the small end but, S/he has been eating just fine everytime and seems to be healthy atleast. Also just came out of a shead 2 days ago so, I didn't know if that would have any affect or not?

Re: Another weight ?
Different people feed on different schedules. A lot of people feed their snake every 7 days, on a set day. Then others feed their snake every 5 days. That adds up to like an extra 5-10 meals a year. Then some breeders feed their snake every 3 days for the first year then back off to weekly. Each feeding causes them to grow quicker/slower. My Anaconda is 8 months old, and I feed her adult mice, I want to step up to something bigger, and start feeding her every 6 days so she'll put a little weight on.

Re: Another weight ?
I think I'm going to try to bump her up to every 5 days and see if that helps. I've had her on every 6 since I got her. The pet shop I got her from had her on every 7 so hopefully I can get her to bulk up a little with that. I was hoping to find if there was some kind of average I should be expecting or a general amount she may gain as long as she is healthy and feeding well.
