Is bleach safe for cleaning cages?

When I purchase a new plastic container I always take it outside give it a good wash with the hose then fill them with water and a bit of bleach and let it soak for 30min or so.

For spot cleaning I either use some sort of spray and wipe clean with a wet towel or use a cleaning wipe. This good?

You'll want to make sure that you use a 1:10 mixture or less bleach per treatment, and that nothing smells like bleach before you put the animal back in.

I use bleach all the time but like Heather said, use a 1:10 ratio and rinse repeatedly with clean water afterwards.

I make a cleaning solution with just a tiny bit of bleach. A little bleach goes a long way.
