Happy happy joy joy!!
So I'm gonna leave her alone for a while, then inspect the tub and make sure she didn't just push the mouse around somewhere for some reason, just to be sure... but I do believe Naga ate!
After several failed live feeding attempts(we were told she's been on live rats so we've been trying), and a couple failed pre-killed attempts, I decided to take out one of Dahaka's frozen medium mice, thaw it and leave that in the tub for her.
The mouse was sitting several inches in front of her hide, and when I checked on her, it was gone! I just saw her with her head sticking out of the hide!
So, that mouse isn't a good-sized meal for her, but I wanted her to eat SOMETHING because she hasn't eaten for us yet since we got her(May 9th).
Sooo, when do you think I should try to feed her again? I have a small rat waiting for her(live, but I think I may take him to the reptile store and have him pre-killed seeing now that she's taken a dead rodent already!). She's 1250 grams, so that mouse was TINY for her, but like I said, I wanted to see if she would take a thawed mousie that I just left in there for her instead of monitoring a live rat.
I guess all she needed was some privacy!

Congrats! That's definitely exciting!
I would wait until next week (her next scheduled feeding) before offering more. Let her digestive system get back into full gear with the little mouse so she'll be ready for her next meal. Also, if she just started eating for you, you don't want to risk stressing her out by offering her a more. Now that she's eating, she should be ready for the small rat next week!

Re: Happy happy joy joy!!
Thanks!
That small live rat I had waiting was a little monster, so I had no idea how I was gonna try to offer it to her....
So seeing that she took a f/t, I just took it back to the reptile store today and they took care of it. It's in our freezer now. >.<
