Re: Snake presentation at School
Thats great! I sometimes take my snakes with me to studio to educate my classmates Many of my friends have already fallen in love and some are even thinking about starting a small collection of their own!
I would love to do some work with my snakes and children. Unfortunately, I am in school and I don't have much time and I also don't know any school kids
That is really great though. Awesome!

Re: Snake presentation at School
ty, I cant remember if I posted this before, but was reading about snakes used for helping individuals with depression, per rec from this forum and was reading the posts about it. I really think its time we move out and actively educate those around us. If i did post about this earlier I apologize lol.

Re: Snake presentation at School
That's awesome Troy! I think I was in 2nd grade when I brought a few wild caught snakes of mine to class and did a small scale demo. Looks like you guys planned it out NICE! Two thumbs up!
And wow, you even had kids there from Spain! LOL Just joking! I know, bad joke, especially when children are involved. I just don't know what is happening to this country. Are we getting flakey? Shouldn't we have an official language?

Re: Snake presentation at School
Yeah, the community I live in is 50%/50%.......the caucasian population is actually the minority, the community if I recall is the second or third most diverse community in the US or something like that. The Spanish letter was for the parents who dont speak English. In school English is the language used, but we do have a school that is language based in town as well that is 50/50 english and spanish and they are looking into starting a third.

That's just awesome, Troy! It's fun to see how stoked the kids get, and the lack of fear. Those were big groups!

Re: Snake presentation at School
that great man spread the information and all, I think the only way to make it more interesting would be if we could get hands on some medai stuff like what they show on tv when they talk about some snakes , like cgi of the jaws, movement and such. I also would like if possible a copy of the info packet you had sent home I wanto do a demo at the local school and such a packet would be a great help and possible make it a bit easier to get the ideal pass some of the teachers.
I remember having them one time at the church when the had an event and the kids loved it . I did talk to the preacher at the time before hand and all it was fun and i know a couple of the kids were really dragging their parents along to look lol.
