Think I know why Meerah isn't eating now..

With the help of Argentra (Adriana) I think its because she isn't very happy with her enclosure.

She isn't using her hides anymore because they aren't big enough for her to actually get in them.. so she squishes in and her body hangs out.. well she started just letting her head hang out too.. and now she has completely forgotten about the hides and goes under the towels in there.. the head out and under towels only started this week... but she couldn't fit her hides when i got her.

so now the plans are in the making ASAP for a new enclosure that I can fit larger hides in and she can go back to being a happy little snakie.

I had the exact same thing happen with mine, outgrew her hides. Bought her some new, larger ones, gave her a few days and she ate no problem!

When I first got her she would hang out in them no problem, although her body stuck out of them a horrid amount...
Now in the last week she has stopped trying to and just goes under the towels.

After I get her in a new home, I am going to give her a week to be a snake and try feeding again.

I'm going through something similar with my Lavender female corn right now - she doesn't fit in the hides she has, so she's not too happy. In fact, she displays this displeasure by flipping both hides over and slamming them against her door to 'show' me how upset she is with them. I'll be getting her bigger hides tomorrow.
Oh, and she is eating... but I have to throw the FT rat pup (or adult mouse) right at her nose to get her to grab it. Before, she was ready at the door to take it out of the tongs.

No matter how I torment Meerah with the rat (I even went to smaller rats too) she acts more afraid of it than anything. i even tried a fuzzy pinkie little thing live and she wasnt interested.

I am going to try and get some new hides tonight at least a temporary fix!

My BP still hasn't eaten since October. He goes off feed every year (he is 10), but this is the longest he ever has. I'm nervous, and can't figure out the issue.

Even though he hasn't lost much weight I still freak out every spring/summer trying to get him eating again. BPs can be a huge pain in the butt!

Let us know if changing the hides works.

Well after searching the planet for hides last night I didn't find anything I thought would work for her in her enclosure.. I will try again tonight...
However I took her out for some loving last night and let her wander the house and get out some energy, and she was in a hids this morning (as much as she fitsin them anyways)

I did go out to Home Depot and checked out everything I would need for the new enclosure to get prices and stuff
