    Getting hatchlings to eat

I have had trouble getting our new hatchling to eat baby food with calcium added. I haave not tried crickets yet. The only way i have gotten him to eat is by rubbing the food on his nose then it licks it off. Any suggestions of getting these guys started. Sorry for all the questions, but this is our first tie at this...

repashy super food would be a better choice. Just rub it over one nostril and they'll lick it off. That's what I did with my little ones.

Thanks i am doing that with the fruit baby food and calcium mixed in. I Just put some on his nose and he licks it off, but how long before they usually eat on their own from a food dish?

I put a food dish in with mine and every 2 days I'd "assist" them with eating until I started seeing food missing from the edges of the dish. Took about a week or so.

Thanks i have been doing this since day one. I guess all i needed was a little reassurance. It has been almost a month and no eating on his own.

If you haven't already you need to switch to the Repashy Crested Gecko Diet which can be purchased here: http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/i...ategory_id=165. That is a complete diet, whereas baby food is unhealthy, full of sugar and does not contain the vitamins and minerals cresteds need (even with calcium or other vitamin powders added into it).
