    Weekly weighing of egg tubes

Does anyone weigh their egg boxes weekly and add back the water that has evaporated from it? I just posted a post about eggs rolling while in the incubation substrate. I find myself wondering in maybe i am the cause. I keep the eggs in deli cups and the lids are not as easy to get off as i would like. So when i handle the egg containers for weekly weighing and adding of water, i wonder if i am causing the eggs to shift. Does anyone else add water or do you mix and leave alone?

Re: Weekly weighing of egg tubes

I only add water every now and then when the substrate seems to feel a bit too dry (I don't do any weighing), but I also use shoebox size rubbermaids so thwy maintain consistency for longer than a deli cup. If your eggs aren't staying in place I would just suggest putting them a bit deeper in the substrate to make them more secure.
