Change the bedding once a month. Or if there is a big pee or poo. It really isn't necessary to "bathe them". I usually wash them off if they have been laying in poo though.

This will actually tend to cause a bad shed. Don't soak before a shed, only after you notice that the BP is having a touch time getting the skin off.

By soaking your BP BEFORE a shed, you remove useful oils from their skin that they need in order to have a good shed.

Really, they go to the bathroom when they need to. Ball pythons rarely get impacted. My smaller snake went 5 weeks without a poo. They don't really need to be helped a long. Not sure about corn snakes though.

Re: how often do i need to bathe my ball

The only time I bathe my corns or balls is when they have a difficult shed (never for my corns) and/or if they covered themselves in some feces.. which has happened a couple times. -.-

You don't have to bathe them to help them go to the bathroom, my boa was constipated for a while so he needed baths to help him take care of that. Rarely happens with ball pythons though, and if it does you would know it.
