My new boy Simon just ate his second meal under my care. He ate 1 F/T hopper last Friday...and I just convinced him to eat TWO!
I had originally tried feeding in a separate feeding bin (that's how he was fed previously so I was trying to maintain some normalcy) but he wanted NOTHING to do with it. So I attempted in enclosure feeding last week and it works like a charm!
He even took his first mouse tonight off the tweezers. The second one, I just laid on some paper towel and he came out at his leisure and started swallowing. Seems he understands that he's not getting live now too because he only constricted his first mouse for about 30 seconds, and his second not at all (he constricted last week for like 3 minutes).
I'm such a proud mama! Plus, now that he's on a stable feeding schedule, I feel more comfortable handling him and getting some better pictures.
Now, if I could just get a good poo and shed under his belt....
