Spider Python and eating

Im looking at a spider python from a guy selling him ! The thing that is scaring me about him . He said he has a tough time getting him to eat i have been feeding mine every 5 to 7 days he said the snake has been eating once a month ! Could there be something wrong with him ??? I have had my snakes about 10 years and have never had trouble with mine eating !

Off feed yes but he said it only has been eating for months

I would have to know about his husbandry to be sure. Sometimes it's best just to buy from a well known breeder if you're not sure.
