    Adding to my collection

Ok, I have decided to expand my small collection a little. I am going to a reptile show this weekend and have around 300 to spend on BP's I have room for up 5 adult snakes. I would like to get in to breeding in the next season so, what would you recommend I start with. Currently I have 2 07 normals. Should I stick with normals, should I try spiders or pastels, should I got het albinos, or something else.

    BPs Currently 23 total
1.6.0 Normals, 1.0.0 66% poss het pied, 2.5.0 Yellow Belly, 1.0.0 Blonde Pastel, 1.0.0 Mojave, 0.1.0 Lemon Blast, 1.0.0 Albino, 0.1.0 100% het albino, 1.0.0 Spider, 1.1.0 Het Caramel Albino

    Re: Adding to my collection

A pastel was my first morph. Can't go wrong with them. Spiders will run you a little more than $300 but you can get a pastel for a little under that I believe. For het albinos, I think for myself is more of a project unless that's something you seriously want to consider. If your looking to produce morphs right away, I believe a spider/mojave/pastel is the way to go for that price range.

Just my 2 cents. I could be wrong as always! haha

I recommend starting out with co-doms so pastels, spiders, cinnies, and you may be able to find a mojave for around that price.

if you are looking for adults then $300 wont get you any morphs, you could probably snag up some dinkers though.

You may be able to get a male yellow belly or male pastel for that price. Each of those bred to a normal should give you approximately 1/2 codoms and 1/2 normals.

are your normals now male or female?

depending on what sex you are looking for also influences price.

    Re: Adding to my collection

My first morph was a cinnamon, but I think a pastel is a perfect beginner morph. Any Co-Dom for that matter is great for your first morph.

And that is my 2 cents.
    1.0 Spider 50% Het Orange ghost; 1.0 Lesser; 1.2 Lemon Pastel; 1.1 Cinnamon;1.0 100% Het pied; 1.0 100% Het Albino; 0.2 50% Het Albino; 0.1 50% Het Pied; 0.10 Normals
