Re: dent in eye (dont think its hydration)
I don't know if this is exactly the same case as yours, but a while back I thought I noticed a dent in my fire female's eye. All my temps and humidity were fine, and no stuck eye caps so I thought it could have been an injury. Well I let her be for a few days (I'm not saying to do this, I just did, it may have been right or wrong) and the next time I checked on her the eye was back to normal. Not sure if that helped, that's just what happened to me.
You know you're into reptiles when...

Same thing happened here...
Perhaps, its like that movie Blind...except its with snakes, and they get dents?!
He shedded about two weeks ago, and the humidity is perfect right now, I just dipped his head in his bowl, he didn't like it, but two hours later, it was gone...

Re: dent in eye (dont think its hydration)
Make sure your humidity is up and wait a few days.
Its probably not a retained eye cap. Those look like the snake is still in its blue phase and they are pretty noticeable.
