WOOT! Rico FINALLY gets his eye caps off!

I have been a member on this site for 2 or 3 years now,and for the past year or so I have been posting here asking for advice on how to get Rico's pesky eye caps off and to get him to have a clean shed. Well over the past 2 or 3 months I have been making more and more changes to his tank and living styles as trial and error.

WELL! I am happy to say that over the past 2-3 Sheds he has gotten better and better at shedding and his last shed he shedded in bigger chunks and got all but one layer of eye caps off.

This morning I awoke to find his shed in his hide in TWO large pieces and NO EYE CAPS ON HIS EYES! For the first time in a year I can see his beautiful brown eyes! Will post pictures later, I am just so excited I had to tell someone who cared, haha! My girlfriend would be happy to know, but she's asleep and I don't think waking her up to tell her would make her very thrilled, lol.

glad to hear thathe can see again ..
I have used tape ( carefully before with great success)but i know it frowned on by the members here. I have ablackrat who so old now she need the help to shed. I am sad to say I knowdess that her and my other (oldest ) corn both have eye issue on the same eye it looks likte a possible cataract( sp?) or even a possible growth in the eye itself( in the corn's case) but both are heatlhy otherwise which is good to say since they both over 15 years old the br closer to the 20 mark .
