    Douglas Fir Bark

I'm trying something new and I would like some feedback concerning this. Anyone ever hear of Lizard Litter Bark Blend by Zilla? It's a Douglas Fir Bark substrate.

    Re: Douglas Fir Bark

Isn't Douglas Fir usually what's put into the snake kits at Petco? If so, that is what I had when I first got my snake. It's pretty dusty, but it looks nice and holds humidity pretty decently. Just watch out for mold if you spray it too much.
It did have somewhat of a strong odor, however, very mulchy.

i hate this stuff. tried it once and cursed the whole time the next cleaning. its dusty. leaves what appears to be dirt in the bottom of the viv and some say it has given there snakes mites.

Aspen is the way to go besides news print/paper towel.
