    Uth problem??!!

    SO I bought a uth...a repti therm from zoo med. It's been 3 hours and the acurite is reading 79 for cold side and 80 for hot side??? I do have a thermostat puts its not plugged in...it was but I unplugged it and put it in the outlet. So far theres like no heat! Is this broke???? don't worry I have no snake yet

    Either your UTH or your Thermometer is busted. Feel the glass where the UTH is, if it feels even slightly warm your Thermometer is probably busted. If this is the case reinstall the batteries and try again. If it's still busted bring it back for a replacement.

    I had to replace my thermometer because the out temperature kept freezing.

    If your UTH isn't warm at all, then I'd replace it. They usually heat up within the first hour.
