Mouse bite!
I fed my BP a live mouse today (he's about 8 months old) and the damn thing managed to get a nip right at the corner of his mouth before he finished the mouse off. It was a bad enough bite to draw a bit of blood so I'm concerned about infection and other such issues. He is also just about to shed, will probably do so in the next day or two, I'm not sure if that would have any bearing on the bite.
Basically what I'm wondering is if I should worry about the bite and, if I should treat it, how to go about doing it.

Re: Mouse bite!
keep an eye on it, small nips heal fine on their own, if you start to notice any redness or swelling at the site, use half strength betadine, apply with cotton ball, then apply reg strength neosporin. How close is the bite to his mouth?

Re: Mouse bite!
The bite is RIGHT on the corner of his mouth, I think the mouse got a hold of the inside of his mouth as well.
