    My Pinstripe Acts weird???

WHen I get out my pinstripe to handle him and he is fine at first but within a few minutes he tries fleeing from my hands as if he is in danger??? None of the other 6 bp's I have act like that they just sit and hang out and slowly investigate. Why does he act this way?? Will he stop? I have had him for all but a month and handle them all on a daily basis at some point throughout the day if that helps.

He hasn't built trust with you yet, and is literally trying to flee in fear. I've got one that does that right now, it's the het clown that I got from Adam.

What I'm doing is very short, positive handling sessions. The moment she relaxes for 30 seconds, I put her back up. I'm trying to condition her that when she's calm, good things happen (and for her, a good thing is being gently put back into her enclosure, away from the monster).

Some are just by nature, much more shy and frightened, just be very calm with her.

Thanks! That is what I have been trying to do. Only like 5 min sessions with him and then back in so he feels safe. I hope he gets used to being handled cause he is a real beauty and like having him out. Thanks again!

Oddly enough I have seen a guy walking down the street carrying a large snake of some sort around his neck lol. Definitely wasn't a ball python though, it was way too big.
