My new addition!
I went to the Herp Expo in Daly City today, and came home with my new snake! He is a baby male pastel BP, and has some beautiful contrast & yellow in his color. So pretty and sweet - and only $125, which is less than I was planning to spend. I really wanted this GORGEOUS orange ghost at the same booth, who was in a display case marked $300... I offered to buy him, but the owner hemmed/hawed, and said "sorry, but I've decided to keep him for breeding." I think he was planning to sell until he got an offer, and then just couldn't bear to part with him. He was amazing!! But I love the pastel I ended up with, and can't wait to see what he produces in the future. Here are some pictures, and name suggestions are welcomed.
He's still a little shy...

How cute is that?

Ah, I guess that makes sense... but I wonder, why did they bother putting a price on his tank? What a tease!! And yeah, there wasn't a whole lot to choose from, so I had to look pretty hard for my pastel. The guy from EB Vivarium said the show was just a little too early, since their hatchlings won't be ready until mid-summer. Oh well - at least I found a nice one!

yeah it is a bit early in the season for 09 morphs, but there were quite a few normal hatchlings. but, i dont think i would be comfortable with some of those babies they were so tiny.

Yup - that's where I got my baby! They're called Amazing Pythons, if I remember correctly... nice looking snakes.

Congrats on your new addition then, LOL. I'll probably go back tomorrow too, since my roommate wanted to check it out (he has leopard geckos). Maybe I'll see you there! If you spot a redheaded girl with a tall skinny black man, that's probably us...

Re: My new addition!
I just checked on no-name, and he was cruising around... poking his nose against the top at first (trying to escape?), but then he was weaving in & out of his hides. He slithered over to "say hi" while I was watching him, so I'm hoping that means he'll be a friendly one. The viv is doing okay with the temps - just under 90 on the hot side - but I'm having a little trouble with the humidity. A guy at the show suggested adding moss, so I'll take care of that later. Anyway, here's a pic where you can see his markings stretched out:
