Question Scale Rot Caught Very Early!

Hey, I just had my BP out today and noticed a very tiney blotch of scale rot on his underbelly. Its on two scales but doesnt cover them entirly. I have some creame the vet gave me a while ago incase somehtignlike this happens so I put that on him. There isnt much creme left so is there a more easily found supplement (my vet is 1 hour away and my car needs repairs). Secondly, he is on cocoa fiber right now but it is pretty dry stuff so do i need to put him on news paper? Any other tips are more than welcome.

I would stick him on paper towels for the time being just so you can catch any messes quickly and make sure he is in a clean enviroment while he heals up

Use Polysporin I'd try to get more of the stuff the vet gave you though. Its more than likely Silvadene, which I'd rather use any day over any other ointment.

UPDATE: I lined the top of the cocoa fiber with a bounce sheet and weighted it down with some smooth rocks i had in the tank. I reapplied the cream the vet gave me today and he seems to bet getting a lil better (or atleast not getting better). How often should i cream the lil guy?

A bounce laundry softener sheet? If so, I wouldn't use that, due to the chemicals.

Just replace the coconut husk with paper towel or newspaper, keep him dry and wait for the next shed - it should be gone.

Bacteria from a dirty or damp enclosure.
