    Petco Aspen?

    http://www.petco.com/Assets/product_...443076279C.jpg

Anyone use this? It was a LOT cheaper than any of the other aspen bedding they carried. Just want some opinions before I buy.

    Thanks

I just switched to using this. So far so good, It does suck out the moisture though!

    Re: Petco Aspen?

    Stuffs good.

A little dusty sometimes but I always got through the stacks looking for the least dusty looking bag and can usually find a good bag by sight cause the dust will settle to the bottom against the plastic where you can see it. It doesn't work if it's a really new shipment though. But usually the stuff is just as good as anything else they carry. Or at least everything else is just as likely to be dusty. I think it varies shipment to shipment, because 60% of the time it's super-clean and wonderful, sometimes its somewhere in the middle, and occasionally it's dusty. I say it's worth the gamble for the price.

Anyways it's the only stuff I use for my snakes, has been for 2 years.

    Re: Petco Aspen?

I just wanted to add that my last bag ended up being one of the dusty ones. I just threw a piece of 1/4" hardware cloth on top of it and gave it a quick vacuum. Fixed it right up. lol.

Seriously. I did. One of the best things about this is the aspen pieces are big without being chunky. Like big flakes of aspen that my snakes love to burrow under instead of the tiny stuff that's practically sawdust. And the pieces are big enough that I don't worry to much about it sticking to the rodents when I'm feeding.
Anyways, this bedding was big enough that I could vacuum the dust up though small mesh without clogging my vacuum. yay.
