Hang in there. Moving, just toss everything into boxes, you have forever to sort it out at the new apartment. Take plenty of breaks. And treat yourself once you're done for the day.

Re: So OVERWHELMED!
Everybody gets overwhelmed. I actually had an ex pack a huge amount of dirty dishes because the new place had a dishwasher...ewwwwww.
I also know what it's like to drive a vehicle you're not comphy with. My heart goes out. Just remember your starting in a new place and it's all yours. It'll be ausome, just remember to look forward to that

I'm moving at the end of the month myself and yes it does get overwhelming at times. Just remember though it's a short term thing, it will be over with soon so you just have to put your head down and push through it. It is fun though to find the stuff that's been "lost" in the far reaches of walk-in closests for a couple of years.

Re: So OVERWHELMED!
Been there, done that, still have all my stuff in boxes..
We moved middle of last year to the boonies.. too far from work and friends..
SO now this weekend and next week we are moving.. does it look like we are.. NO..
but then again we really didn't unpack.. ack LOL
Give yourself time, take breaks, find friends that can help.. or can be bribed with pizza and beer.
Take the reptiles and other creatures LAST, or First depending if you have the heat and lights on.
And chalk up the big giant truck driving and the move as a learning experience..
Cause you know some one will remember you drove on once and ask you to drive their big ole giant truck for them..
Try it with a horse trailer or trailer, and move accross half the US...
Did that a few years ago.. ah ha hahahah and dogs, and birds...
BLEH.
COngrats, take a deep breath and have a drink of something cool

Re: So OVERWHELMED!
I've moved every year for the past 6 years, and the last year in particular, I've lived mostly out of a suitcase. Trust me, I know where you're coming from.
It takes a little while to get settled in and for it to feel like home and to get into the swing of things. Till then, it can be very stressful and awkward.
Big thing is to try to not stress about things and to try to have a little fun here and there. Oh, and coronas help too

Re: So OVERWHELMED!
Bit of advice here, make sure your mattresses, bedding, pillows, a suitcase of your clothes and toiletries (toilet paper, do NOT forget that), some lightbulbs and in my case the coffee machine and supplies are the last things loaded and the first offloaded. My mom always taught me that when you move, if you do that, you can quickly set up the beds and you have enough necessary things to do just fine overnight. That way if you're exhausted from unloading the truck, you have a bed to flop into right away.
