Pinworms... oh, joy.
I wasn't worried about Cu; she's been eating like a monster (for the first time in her life), and has fully recovered from her RI last month. I was really worried about my beardie, Budo, who's been lethargic and refuses food. But, when I took in Budo's fecal sample, I decided I'd take in Cu's, just to say I'd done it.
Well, well, well. Budo is, as I had predicted, loaded with coccida and pinworms. Cu also has pins, though not nearly as many as Budo.
So, Budo is on Panacur, something for coccida (being mailed), and liquid calcium for his metabolic bone disease (he was in bad shape when I adopted him; never again will I give a cent to the East Bay Vivarium!), and Cu is on Panacur.
I was told how to administer it; index card to open the mouth, squirt meds behind trachea. I'm still a bit nervous, as I know their mouths are sensitive. Any tips would be appreciated!!

At the clinic we actually use a plastic spatula (the sticks with the flat rubbery ends used to stir stuff) to open their mouths. The rubbery ends are soft enough that they wont scrape the inside of the mouth, and if the snake does bite down it's not going to hurt them either. When your giving the meds, there's really nothing to it. just make sure your not in the trachea. I'd keep the head elevated for about a 30 sec's or so, or at least hold your snake to where the head isn't in a downward slope to prevent anything from dripping out. Good luck!

Re: Pinworms... oh, joy.
Thanks! I just tried it (with the help of two others to keep her from balling up), and most of the meds spilled out. It's supposed to be used weekly, but I think I'm going to try a half dose tomorrow; less than half of it actually got inside her. I managed to get her mouth open without much trouble, but not wide enough to see anything.
In the mess I made, there is a bit on her eye. She has a water bowl in her enclosure that she's dipped in. Should I do anything about her eye?

If you moisten a soft piece of cloth and let her slither through it, she should be fine. If you notice ANY sign of discoloring on her eye scales, you should call your vet right away.
