    Substrate and heat

I was thinking of switching from the Aspen bedding to news paper, my question is, how responsible is the substrate for helping to hold in the heat and humidity. Would switching to news paper upset my BP? Thanks for the help!

    Re: Substrate and heat

It is paper..there isn't really much room to hold in heat. The heat goes right through it. As for humidity, if you are using tubs it should be fine but in a tank it won't do anything to help the humidity, thats for sure.

in a tank it may raise your humidity some as aspen and other substrates sometimes tend to suck up some of the humidity
