    Question weird ball python

I have a normal ball python and she is the weirdest eater we had her for 3 months and she would not it we were trying to feed her mice because that is what the people said she ate when we bought her. So finally my husband said let try rats so he picked her up a rat pup and she didn't even coil it or nothing she went up to it and so easily bit its stomach and ate it alive so we thought that was weird have you guys ever heard of a lazy eater so I said that was sick so we now have her eating dead but she still doesn't coil it she smells it for the longest time then eats it she is so silly.

    Re: weird ball python

A number of snakes in captivity are "lazy eaters". I see it most often when feeding young feeders(pinkies, pups etc).

I also see it more with older snakes.
