car waranty question
I bought a used jeep in November from my local jeep dealership. It came with a drive train warranty for I believe 5 years. Well, with all the the economic crap going on with jeeps, the dealership closed its doors today.
Does that mean my warranty is gone?

Who do you have your warranty through? If it was a dealership gimmick, then I am afraid you may be out of luck. If it is through a third-party company then as long as that one is a-float, you should be able to take it to any dealer and have it worked on under the same terms.

Its more then likely thru a third party so i would give them a call just incase. Its better to know now instead of when you need it

Nobody to call! I tried calling today and only got a message saying they went out of business! j
If I had to guess, I would say it was thru the actual dealership, but I don't know.

I was talking about calling the number on your warranty papers. The dealers only fix the cars not handle the warranty info.

Most warranties on newer vehicles are through the manufacturer so you would just have to go through a jeep/dodge dealership. Unless it was a special dealership warranty on an older used car or something.

Re: car waranty question
i worked for a dodge/jeep dealer for a little bit. that drive train warranty is only for internally lubricated parts and is through chrysler. if they go, your warranty goes.

Re: car waranty question
It's probably through the manufacturer, in which case just go to another dealership.
