    Combinations?

I might be getting a female super pastel and was wondering what would be the best combos. I have a male spider right now. Could i make killer bees? I know a killer bee is a bee x pastel breeding but could i make one without going that route?

a killer bee is homozygous for the pastel gene and heterozygous for the spider gene. A bumblebee is heterozygous for both.

Breeding a super pastel(aka homozygous pastel) to a spider, you would get 50% bumble bees and 50% pastels

You have to breed either two bees(killer or bumble) together, or a bee x pastel, or a bee x super pastel to have a chance at killer bee hatchlings.

you may also want to look into getting a yellowbelly or mojave...both of those when crossed with the pastel gene look sweet!
