Feeding Multiple Mice
So a couple quick questions. I have 1 BP, male, mid to late 08, I don't know exactly his weight as of now (getting a scale soon enough), but I had a couple questions. First off, when will I know if I should up his food to say 2 mice (I feed him weekly on Fridays)? Is it totally done based on weight? Also, how do you do feeding two mice, if it were the case that he needed it? Would you feed him one, wait till he downs it, then afterwards go in again and try feeding again? Or just throw them in the tank (I feed F/T). I am just confused as to how the feeding multiple mice would really work. Any clarity on how much I should be feeding him would be awesome. Right now I feed him one mouse a week. Thanks for the support!

Re: Feeding Multiple Mice
I feed my 400g girl two mice that are about 20g each. I just offer the first one like normal and then when she is done and has realigned her jaw, I offer a second. Soemtimes if it is late or I am busy I will just throw the other one in there on top of her hide and she finds it.

Re: Feeding Multiple Mice
So is that the math? The prey should be 10% of the BP's weight?

Re: Feeding Multiple Mice
Yep, somewhere betweeon 10-15% of the snakes body weight is a good rule of thumb.
