Nothing like the smell of fresh eggs in the morning!

This morning I woke up to a little surprise before work. Isis, my normal female, is 15 days overdue for laying her eggs, and after much hair pulling I opened her tub to see one HUGE egg out, and her getting ready to lay her second. So I go to work, and when I got back I found this...

    Here's mom and dad

When I palpated her, I thought I felt 6 eggs, and by luck i was right!

She was really good when I removed her as well. She hissed a little bit, but she didn't even act like she was about to strike me.
Here are the eggs in their tub, ready for the 'bator.

The heaviest egg that I pulled out was 90g, and the lightest was 84g, and out of the 6 laid, there were no slugs! I'm pretty proud of my little momma! She weighed 1542g when i first started to breed her, and she had a couple meals during the season, but she's still it a lil skinny

    After:

Now here's the looooong wait for them to hatch!

That's awesome. I'm loving baby season (this being my first experience looking through the windows). Everyone around here is so willing to share everything. I knew a guy who bred Persian horses. I asked him if I could see some of his colts. He just kinda snorted and told me they were expensive. Now I'm seeing beautiful miracles almost every day!! Thanks!

I had a hard time believing it too! It's so sad seeing how skinny she is now. I would have fed her today (sunday) but all of my local pet shops were closed. Tomorrow she'll be gettin a feast though, that's for sure!
