drooling after drinking lots of water

I picked up few females today and all of them were dehydrated and skinny. After taking them home they went after the water bowl. Some drank for minutes. I had to fill up the bowls couple of times. Anyway my question is there's two of them that after I picked up started drooling. One ate right after drinking and she's one of the girls that are drooling. I was wondering if this is RI or is this because they had tons of water recently and gets spooked when I pick them up. They don't drool when I don't pick them up. There was no clicking sound from her when she was eating. But when I pick her up she hisses then drool. by the way I just got them about 6 hours ago. None of them were drooling before drinking.

BTW the reason why I was picking them up was because I was moving the ones that ate to the tubs that gets more heat.

Is it mucous or is it water? They could just have water in their mouth still.

Ive seen that before with pythons that are dehydrated and then are given ample access to water..They seem to almost "gorge" themselves on water and consume abit too much in one sitting...On another note, I would say it was NOT normal for a snake which has access to water at all times (like they should) show signs of this behavior. I personally would not have fed either one yet, I would be more concerned of getting them hydrated first...Leave them alone for a few days with water and warmth and keep an eye on them...Best of luck!

The past owner has been really busy for the last few months and I don't think he's fed or gave them water since last winter All the snakes I got from him drank A LOT of water yesterday.
