I've heard a few bad stories about him. Supposedly he isn't allowed at the local monthly reptile show because a bunch of people are after him for stealing reptiles from people. Story is he broke into someone's house and stole their collection, and has even been caught stealing at the local reptile show. Dunno how much is true, but I've heard it from more than 4 seperate people. I've bought frozen rodents from him and he seemed ok at that time, but recently he seems to care more about money than keeping customers. He does have good deals on his snakes, but id rather buy from someone a bit more friendly.

Oh wow. I was about to buy a 0.1 100%het albino 50% VPI snow from him for $100. No paperwork but he got it from Colin Weaver at East Coast Reptile Breeders. Hmm..

I got some frozen mice from him. It was nice cuz I didn't have to get them shipped and they are pretty good quality.

I've seen him selling several questionable animals. I was interested in some of his stuff, but his ethics are off IMO.

I urge anyone to check the BOI before they do business with folks.

Although I have never dealt with him he has been running a collection reduction ad on Kingsnake for over a year and a half with new animals all the time.
My first impression is that the collection reduction line is not true which makes me think what else is not true?

i purchased my het albino male pos het ghost sunglow????? he said was from Ian G of outback reptile he shipped quick and fast didnt have an problem with him ......now just nned to prove the het

I just got a female all red eyed snow raptor leo from Matt on this Friday that just passed 6/19/09. He addressed the issues brought up in this thread and I felt confident in moving forward with my purchase from his answers. I asked a ton of questions and he always responded in a timely manner. I told him how much money I had to spend on her and he was more then willing to work with me on price. I also told him I wanted one that was a good eater and I have NO problems with her eating so far. He packed her well and she came in full of attitude ready to get out of the deli cup. I had a fecal done at the vet (as i always do with new leo's) and it came up clean. I have talked with Matt on the phone, email and text message and he was always a cool dude with me. I would definately buy another leo from him in the future

Aaron, I saw this post months ago and honestly didn't respond because I was so pissed off and didn't want to write a book in response. I've never been banned, kicked out, or told to leave an expo EVER and i've never "broken into someone's home (or anywhere else for that matter) and stolen their collection." I've never broken into anyone's property ever.

You should never be surprised by the things people will do, but I can't believe you'd say this about me an even stating that you have no idea if it's true or not, and on the internet none the less. This is called DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER and more specifically libel. I think it says something pretty negative about your character for you to do this. My mom taught me long ago to never listen to or spread hearsay because you weren't there and don't really know, but obviously you were never taught this.

Your obviously not even close enough to the source of the rumors because you don't even know what expo i'm supposedly banned from or who I supposedly robbed. The only expos i've ever been to are: Manassas (VA), Hamburg (PA), Havre de Grace (MD), and MARS (MD) which I am banned from none. Of these 4 Havre de Grace is the only monthly one and i've gone there EVERY MONTH or the past 4 YEARS! If so many people we "after" me there they've had many months to get me. I'm even on a first name basis with many of the vendors. You really should check the validity of what your told before you call yourself giving to scoop on someone.

And as far as me robbing someone and stealing their collection, I have records of where I purchased/traded for EVERY animal i've owned since 05'. Also, if this were true wouldn't I have a record or something?? I've NEVER stolen any animal from ANYONE EVER! And as far as me "recently seeming to care more about money than keeping customers." What reason do you have to say this?? You bought rats from me, I never raised the price on you or tried to talk you into buying more than you needed. I even sold you some when I should have been keeping them for my own collection. I'll admit, i'm not the nicest guy in the world, but who is?? I am respectful to everyone who shows me the same courtesy. I don't remember being mean or "not nice" to you at all. I personally don't care how "nice" someone is to me as long as they show me the respect that I deserve and give to them.

I spend a lot of time EVERYDAY answering emails, text, and phone calls from people who are just starting out or need questions answered and aren't even interested in purchasing anything from me. My time is very valuable to me especially considering the size of my snake, leo, and rat collections (which is over 500 animals) and the amount of time it takes to properly care for all of them but I help people all the time because it's part of my job. I tell people all the time that they can call,text or email me ANYTIME if i'm available i'll get back to them asap. As far a me keeping customers I have many return customers and have about 100+ customers every 2 months.

I have no idea of your motives for saying this about me, but you're a downright liar. You might say I said "Dunno how much is true," but the fact is you purposely spread an untrue rumor about me and from the seriousness of the rumor I take it very personally. My business is a big part of my life and something I make many sacrifices everyday for and put a lot into and it's not something i'd risk by doing the things you've stated in this thread. The fact that you stated that you didn't know if it's true or not has no relevance to me. I'd never post a thread like this about someone ESPECIALLY if I wasn't sure of it's validity.
