This breaks my heart to have to do, but I have to put my pitbull up for adoption, otherwise I'm going to have to put her down. Her name is Baby, and the story of my rescuing her from the side of the highway can be found in the links below. But, she has now twice gotten ahold of one of my other rescues, and this time managed to do considerable damage, and also got ahold of a cat at the vet clinic while she was being boarded. Each time was a play session gone overboard, she's just much stronger than I imagine she realizes. I am currently unable to continue to be her foster parent as she's a danger to my other animals, but obviously finding a rescue that will accept a dog with her history has been a bit tough. I do not want to have to resort to putting her down, so I'm going to give one last shot here in hopes that someone will be able to continue working with her, as she really is a sweetheart.
I will not charge an adoption fee, but I do require that you have no other dogs/cats as well as small children in the house. I just don't want the fear of something happening weighing on my conscious since it would be knowingly putting her in a situation that has already yielded negative results. In retrospect I have myself to blame for taking in other rescues rather than solely concentrating on her, but at this point I can't give 3 dogs away to save one. This truly breaks my heart, and I feel like I have failed, but something has to change.
If you are interested in her, or have any advice on how I can help Baby out, please feel free to PM me. I want things to work out for her.
