    BP refusing to eat

I have a female normal that I was attempting to breed this year. She locked for sure once and I didn't see any after that but I was pairing her regularly. She was building but since I don't know how to palpate properly, I don't know if she had follicles for sure or not. I saw what I thought was an ovulation but it could have been building. On the 23rd of Feb. she shed. There have been no eggs but she refuses to eat. I started trying to get her to eat at the end of March and have offered her a meal 3 times, but she has refused each time.

Any thoughts on why she's not eating? Any ideas on how to get her to eat?

It's not uncommon for snakes to go on "hunger strikes", especially during ovulation. Give her some time to cool off from her mating season. Just offer her food once a week, maybe taking it down a size for starters as well to get her back in the feeding cycle. She'll come around. Remember, snakes go through alot of stress during mating season, especially in captivity so their appetites will be affected. Just give her some time and all should be good.

It is breeding season, you are breeding her.

Just keep offering food and start praying for eggs!

Could eggs still be possible? I don't think she's going to give me eggs. She's not exhibiting any breeding season behaviors. All was well up until her shed. She was heat seeking, was building or had an ovulation (she was quite huge), and has been off feed.

Also, if she doesn't give eggs, which is very likely, how long should I wait till I breed her again? She is my only female big enough for breeding. I might have another two females by the next breeding season though.
