In the beginning yes. They have to check out everything to make sure their new home is safe and secure. If she doesn't go in there eventually something might be wrong. For now, she's just doing a little exploring

when i was taking him out of the packageing it was hissing at me 
and it tried to strike me when i put the water in, hopfully its not like that the whole life

lol. He has to get used to you. Give him a week to get used to his surroundings and if he is still trying to bite you, put on some gloves, and take him out. Do it for like 10-15 min every day. Let him know you're not here to hurt him.
