I stumbled across a letter that has been written, made to be sent to your local news channels. It is made obviously to get the word out. Because as it says in the letter how can we fight this bill if no one really knows about it. So if you think that it is worth it to send an e-mail over to your local news then please do so. I already did. I sent it to my fox news station. Maybe if we all do it they will catch on and broadcast it. You never know but it is worth a shot to keep your hobby right? Well here it is

I am writing you because I have recently found that there is a new bill that has been trying to be passed that bans all exotic animals to be breed, sold or even kept as pets in our own homes( HR669 ). All animals such as Birds, reptiles, fresh and saltwater fish, and small mammals will be banned. Every kind of pet someone may have, except for dogs and cats WILL BE BANNED. At first thought this may not seem to be such a bad thing. But coming from the perspective of a reptile breeder, this could mean that if this bill is passed my family and I may be left on the streets. This bill will not only hurt me and my loved ones but all major pet supply stores. If this bill is passed it has been estimated that this will take ten's of billions of dollars away from our already depreciating economy. As everyone know, these days it is very hard to find a job and it was also said that this bill being passed could cause millions of jobs to be lost. Just Petco and Petsmart alone have at least one thousand stores each in there chain. But like I said an estimated million jobs plus will be lost. And these jobs do not only come from pet supply stores, but all ranch owners, reptile, mammal, bird, and fish breeders that have spent there entire life working on creating a prosperous business will all be left for broke. I just want more people to know about this bill because if no one knows of this bill who is going to fight with us to keep this bill from being passed. I am not sending this letter to you for a handout yet a helping hand, now can you extend yours and help me and the thousands of exotic animal breeders around america keep our hard earned family business, and keep us off the streets? We can not let HR669 pass, please help! Please and thank you
