    Huh?!

Hey everybody, the other day I used the email form on nohr669.com to send my letter to my representative, and look at the email I got in response!

    Dear Jacob,

Thank you for contacting me in support of the Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views.

As you know, this bill would provide the Secretary of Interior with the authority to evaluate nonnative wildlife species prior to them being introduced into a habitat to ensure that there will be no negative impact on the economy, the environment, or human and animal health.

This issue is currently before the House Committee on Natural Resources for consideration. While I do not serve on this panel I will be sure to keep your views in mind should it come before the full House of Representatives.

Again, thank you for contacting me. Please feel free to visit my website at www.chrislee.house.gov to sign up for email newsletter updates on issues that are important to you.

    Sincerely,

I didn't edit the pre-written email at all, just sent it.

That is SCARY! How many of the emails we have sent are being counted as "in favor" instead of "opposed". Yikes!

    Re: Huh?!

I called Adam because I was really concerned about this. What if all the emails we had sent were getting put in the wrong column. He assured me this is not the case and he is getting feedback from people that we are being heard. He said something about a lot of aides scrambling around trying to figure out what this HR669 is that they are suddenly hearing so much about.

I guess a few will fall through the cracks and aides will put a check mark in the wrong column, but overall our campaign is having the desired effect.
