Yes.
What is your house/room temperature? That has a tremendous effect on your cage temps... if it gets below 75*... good luck with keeping the cool end warm.

Re: one last time
Yeah see that becomes a problem. A UTH is virtually useless when heating the cool end..
What you're gonna want is either a ceramic heater or lamp to heat up the cool side, or better yet, a larger UTH to cover the cool side and put that on a tstat.

My room stays around 70F. And I've never had a problem, especially in a 10g.

Re: one last time
If you are keeping the tank in your bedroom a small space heater will help maintain temps in the room.

Hmm..how did you get a 75*< cool spot with just a UTH? I think that could really help out some people having cold rooms.

Re: one last time
Hi,
You can also try insulating the back, bottom and both sides of the tank with something like foam board or reflectix or cork sheeting.
It also has the advantage of helping make the tank feel more secure for the snake if it is one of the nervous nellies.
To make it look better you can use aquarium background taped to the outside of the tank before you fit the insulation.

If you have probs keeping the humidity up use some press & seal to cover the tank lid.
I tried to find a you tube video for you on set ups, they were all cheesy, I may just have to make one myself.
