    Exclamation Creepy Crawlers on Poop!

    Hi,

I haven't been at home for a week now, so first thing I did when I got home was check cages. Well my 'bino apparently pooped twice, because the turds were on different sides of the cages.

Well one of the turds had a few very small, light brownish invertebrates that appeared to have wings. Not mites. I'm thinking some critters were just attracted to it..? I'm using aspen bedding that was frozen prior to being put in the cage.

    Any ideas?

    I'm cleaning that cage tomorrow.

No little creatures on the snake or anywhere else, just the poop.

    Thanks,

I'd just say some insects that were attracted to the poop. Probably got through the air vents if they are that small. Nothing really to worry about in my opinion mate

Yeah Till that's what I thought.. they didn't look like maggots or anything like that.. poop looked like his regular stuff but I'm cleaning tomorrow nonetheless.

Any other input would be appreciated too.

Some of those critters come in on the bedding. it happens, i wouldnt freak too much about it. just try to find a clean bag of bedding from a different store.

Like I said, I froze the back 48 hours before use. I think they just came in from the vents...
