Re: jacks acting strange
the prey item was most likely to large. stay tuned for a regurge.... they do this when they feel a pressure in there guy, to either relive it or help regurge it.

(1) How long have you had Jack?
(2) What are your temps and humidity?
(3) Not to imply anything here, but have you checked him for mites?
(4) How old is Jack and what did you feed him?

Re: jacks acting strange
I second checking for mites.
I don't think it could be a regurg if it has been 3-4 days after he has been fed.

mites are a good possibility. but it doesn't necessarily have to regurge for it to feel bloated from a pray item thats to large.

Yes but being bloated does not automatically mean you should worry about a regurg. Especially since the food is mostly digested by now.

Re: jacks acting strange
More often than not, mites are the reason some snakes (that are not prone to soaking) will soak.
If the humidity is too low, your ball may also soak prior to going into shed. If the ambient temperature in the cage is too hot, it may also cause him to soak.
After four days I doubt a regurge is pending - the process of digestion should be over by now............. but I guess anything is possible.
Some snakes just soak. One of my stimson's python would soak all day long if given a large enough water bowl. He's been doing it since he was a neonate. None of the other Stimson's or antaresia in general have shown any inclination to soak whatsoever.........
