    Hi, I'm Shannon!

    Hey everyone,

The name is Shannon, I'll be 21 in May. I currently own about 80 snakes, give or take. I specialize very heavily in the husbandry of small semi-aquatic snakes, especially garter snakes! My collection consists largely of garter and water snakes, and the remainder consists of ball pythons, a jungle carpet/diamond python, a couple corns, milks, rats, kings, hognoses, and a w/c albino florida dekay's brown snake, of which as of now is the only known, as well as some other obscure species.] such as a sunbeam and mud snakes.

Let me say that I love my garters but i also love my ball pythons. I find great joy in the simplicity that is keeping ball pythons... at times boredom as well, but I still love them (im used to my fast metabolism active-all-day poop-everywhere snakes!) A year ago, I didn't have any BP's, then I bought a rack system and purchased some cherry picks and realized that I succeed too well in keeping BP's not to have them around!!

I do a lot of herp photography and spend most of my summer outside, flipping random objects over. I make at least one herping trip each year to the western side of PA... on my grandparents farm. I have been very lucky to uncover some really awesome and unique specimens, including a flame eastern garter snake and a new type of Hypo!

I'm working very hard to acquire species of the rhabdophis and xenochrophis genus' (keelbacks), to establish healthy individuals and provide quality captive bred specimens. I've had pretty crappy luck thus far but I know that this is not an easy task and will keep trying. This will take years of finding the right animals and working with them but in the end it will pay off!

If you attend the hamburg, PA show, you have probably seen me, I'm about 45 minutes from it, I haven't missed one in almost 2 years!

    A few quick pictures:

This is me and my King Rat Snake, Ra, I basically love him.

Here's a part of my snakeroom (it's changed a bit since this)

    Here's a double setup

    Here's the new middle shelf

Stay tuned for more threads loaded with pictures!!!
