Your snake looks like its getting ready to shed. My snakes dont eat during sheds. As far as the frogs are concerned, I would suggest to offer a mouse instead. I have not heard of ball pythons eating frogs.

Re: newbie here? =)
Ball pythons don't eat frogs...They eat rodents.
You snake is shedding and is still very new. Give it a week to itself to relax and move in. Then try feeding it a MOUSE.
Also, read this twice. It has tons of great information and can answer a lot of your questions.

Re: newbie here? =)
Where did you buy this snake and what did they tell you about it's feeding routines as far as type of prey, size of prey and feeding method it is used to?
Snakes are shy creatures, especially ball pythons. It has very specific needs as far as hides, temperatures, temperature gradient in this enclosure and what it will and will not eat. Have a good read over our BP caresheet and please let that snake be for a week with no attempts to feed it or handle it (other than if you need to move it to clean it's home of urates or feces).

Where did you get the frogs from? What kind of frogs are they? If you caught them in the wild, I would treat the snake with mite/parasite preventative. Then I would sanitize everything in the enclosure and replace the substrate. This is after you remove the frogs of course If they were store bought, I would still monitor things closely after their removal. Good Luck.

Re: newbie here? =)
As others have said, your snake looks "cloudy" because it's getting ready to shed. If you've only had it for 3 days you definitely shouldn't be trying to feed it yet. It needs at least a week to settle into its new home. Also, and I know I'm just reiterating but this is baffling to me: ball pythons do not eat frogs. Whoever told you that was seriously misinformed. Try feeding it a small mouse after you let it get accustomed to its tank.
It's great that you love your snake, but you definitely need to read this to make sure you are taking care of it properly and keeping it happy http://ball-pythons.net/modules/Sect...warticle&id=59

Re: newbie here? =)
First of all WELCOME!!!! I'm sorry but I really wish you had looked up the proper care of ball pythons before bringing one home.. I hate it when people get animals on a whim. Please take the frogs out ASAP and take your new pet to a vet to check for parasites and mites. I would say that you need to search the forums and stickies for more information about ball pythons and follow the instructions to a T and if you can't I would say you need to find a new home for your ball python. Ball pythons are wonderful creatures and I love them to much to sugar coat my frustration. I've seen far too many of these wonderful animals die because the owner didn't have a clue of their proper care. But I am however VERY HAPPY that you chose to become a member and are hopefully using this site to your advantage. We love questions and nothing is too stupid to ask. I hope you don't feel that I am hating on you..people buying pets on a whim without first knowing the proper care and husbandry is my biggest of big pet peeves. No hard feelings k? *hugs*
