    weird habit

My BP lately has been patrolling his hide. He sticks his head outside the hide hole which is a rock cave thing and is in the "S" Shape. Whenever I walk by or shadows move around his tank he starts sticking his tongue out and moving. Is he like protecting it? Its not like he doesnt fit in his hide cuz he is in their completely sometimes. Im wondering if it has something to do with me feeding him in his enclosure and the mouse smell being on the aspen. I just changed it a week ago though. It has started recently. Is he pissed off? Wants more food? I offered him a second mouse and he declined it. What the butt is he doing?!

My snakes do that all the time. Its nothing unusual. If you are feeding him often and properly, there is nothing to worry about. They just do that.

Did you try to feed him today? You should feed every 5 days.
