Solomon Island Ground or Tree Boa?
I just got what I was told was a Solomon Island Tree Boa from an expo. It said "paulsoni [male]" on the case and, not being familiar with the scientific names, I didn't know that was for the ground boas. So now I have conflicting information and I don't know how to tell what I bought
Here are some pics I took of him just now:

They said he was about 2-3 yrs. old. I was going to get a 22 gal tall, but they said I might have to upgrade within a year, so I bought a 30 tall (and appropriate accessories under the impression he would be climbing...). Does anyone have any advice?

It looks like your snake is a Paulsoni, as it appears to have the tell-tale dorsal zig-zag stripe.

If he's anything like mine, he's gonna love the climbing stuff so no worries there. Mine spends most of his time up in the tree even though he's a ground.

Funny thing is, all Candoia are semi-arboreal. Some people call them Tree Boas, most call them Ground Boas.
Nice looking Candoia!

Re: Solomon Island Ground or Tree Boa?
Thanks so much for the help everyone! Well whatever he is, he's very charming I'm glad he'll get at least some use out of the height in that case. Guess I'll just say he's a Solomon Island Boa.
