A couple of pre/post shed pics of our new ball

We got this girl about two weeks ago. We loved her chocolate brown coloring before, but now she is smokin!

Pre Shed. Taken shortly after we got her.

She just had her first shed with us last night.

I still dig all the white that girl has coming up her sides. Have decided what to pair her up with yet?

Not exactly. We are still trying to verify her gender. We were told by her previous owner that she was a female. She is too big for me personally to pop (4' and 1587 grams), so we took her to the only pet store in our town (they also sell snakes) to have the pet store owner probe her. He said she was a MALE. The probe only went in 3/4 of an inch. That's female-depth for a snake this size, according to everything I've read. I'm trying to find someone else to probe her, since I don't know how to do it myself.

And if that wasn't funny enough, this is really funny. We had decided to breed her to a Lemon Pastel. We found one online Friday night that we really liked, so we bought it. It should be here Tuesday. That's not a total loss. We really like Lemon Pastels.

The moral of this story is: When life gives you lemons, get yourself a Lemon Pastel.

Well, our new girl has been positively sexed. She is 100% MALE. No doubt!

With her new gender she needed a new name. His new name is Willy Wonka, in reference to his chocolate color.
