    Colour change?

    Hi,

    I was just looking at the pretty colours on my male hatchling ( no one wants him - the local shop wouldn't even take him for free ) and diggin' on the beautiful pale caramel sides he has.

    Then it struck me I've never kept one from hatchling to adult.

    So my question is when will his colours start to tone down into the standard adult corn colours?

    Here are a couple of pics I just grabbed of him while changing his tub ( twice in 15 minutes - the dirty little bleeder that he is );

    I haven't tried to exactly colour match the photo's but they are fairly close - possibly a little darker than he really is and slightly more yellow.

    He has already "started" to change. As best as I can tell, they change gradually, a little with each shed. Of course I haven't been smart enough to take pics with every shed, so I can't say that with any certainty, but that is what it seems like.

    Happens to me at least once a week it seems. Absolutely the most infuriating part of owning snakes.
