Black rat vs ball python
My 3ft ball python male, refuses to eat any black rodent. So I was wondering if there was anything you could dust them with to make them seem grayish that won't harm the snake. I've gotten him to eat a black rat before but it had a gray belly and I had to hold it up by the tail for him to go for it.

plain old flour should be ok.
since rodents eat grain, and thats all flour is.

Hi,
Wouldn't that turn into kind of horrible goopy glue when it encountered snake mucus?
If the rats skin is pink you could always shave them.

Thats the problem I can't always get a white or black and white rat. It'd be nice to be able to get him to eat the solid black ones and eventually get him on f/t but that might be a bit longer.
