    Slayer's Fresh Shed

Here's Slayer, my new Pastel boy. When I picked him up, he had some stuck shed and was blue so I hadn't seen his true colors. He was in an Exo-Terra with a heat lamp on 'Desert Snow'.. what a great combo! Neither the temps nor humidity were being monitored.

I was hoping he would have a good shed with the proper humidity but he was pretty dried up when I got him.

I checked on him this morning and found that he had shed his head last night but the rest of his body was completely adhered. I gave him a bath and let him slide through a washcloth. It took a while but he is shed free and a little bit lighter after relieving himself on me. He was really calm through the whole thing. It must have been quite refreshing.

I was really surprised how awesome he looks!!

He's a real looker, and those are some outstanding photos of the washcloth process. Wish we could put those pics in the Bad Shed Sticky!!!!

He's a pastel. The guy I got him from was being transfered for his job and was moving out of state. He was bred by RC Reptiles Sep '08. The guy said he was the result of a Bee paired to a normal.

Thanks! I got a great deal on him and he turned out looking much better than I expected.

I would be more than happy to help out others with these pics.. I could post a thread on it if it would help.
