Active BP?
I know a hiding bp is a happy bp but in the past couple weeks I have noticed later at night he becomes very active. He is tucked in one of his hides during the day and the only time I see him is when he moves from one hide to the other, but come 9:00-11:00 he starts to roam his tank. He will climb the temp
probe cords and try to push the top screen off the tank. Is this cause for concern? Or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill?
He is in a 20 gal tank with 2 identical hides, aspen for sub. 81-83 on the cool side and 91-93 hot with an ambient temp of 85-87. I keep humidity locked at 55% with a zoo med fogger and hydrotherm. It is very dry where I live and I tried everything else to keep humidity up to no avail. I am now starting to wonder if the fogger might be the root but he was fine for the first 6 weeks I had it running. Anyone have any experience with the fogger?
Any thought, ideas or criticism are greatly appreciated.

Re: Active BP?
As long as its at night, thats not a problem.
I notice mine out all the time at night, usually around feeding day.
Sometimes they just decide to be more active. If you see him roaming constantly and during the day, I might be a little concerned. Sounds like you have nothing to worry about though!

Re: Active BP?
Definantly nothing to worry about. It is around that same time that my snakes become active as well. They'll often roam late into the night, sometimes waking me up at 3am because they can be loud, knocking stuff over and what not, lol.

I couldn't count how many times I woke up startled because I heard a loud crash or thump. Plus my snake tank is right next to my bed...
Oh look, and she is awake right now, just kind of staring at me.
So on topic, yeah, at night it should be ok.

Re: Active BP?
They're nocturnal so if you're going to see activity it's going to be pretty much at night.
It's kind of hard to put into words but normal activity is more just exploratory, checking stuff out and so forth. It wouldn't be normal if the snake is really antsy, nose rubbing on it's enclosure like mad, acting very tense, striking at the sides of it's enclosure, trying to cram itself into odd places or postures.

Sounds like you have a very normal and happy BP.
